But when they do something wrong, it's always excused. You're not allowed to feel. You're not allowed to be upset. Your emotions are constantly invalidated. And somehow, you're always left questioning yourself as if feeling deeply is a crime…
It's unfair, right? They push you to your limits, provoke you until you're hurt and angry, and the moment you finally react, they act like you're the problem. Suddenly, you're the toxic one. You're the overreacting one….
Sometimes, the daughter who looks the strongest is the one silently breaking at night. She keeps everything to herself, cries in silence & carries pain no one sees. Sometimes all she really wants is for someone to ask, “are you okay?” because even strong daughters get tired too…
In my silent days,
I wish my parents know that their daughter is struggling too. That there are days she feels so tired inside but still shows up with a smile because she doesn’t want to be a burden….
Being a highly sensitive person is tiring & lonely. I notice the smallest shifts in ppl. The change in mood, the forced smiles, the change in their eyes, even when they dont say anything.
But for someone who notices everything, nobody ever notices when something is wrong with me
When we have to fight for a place in someone’s life, we’ve already lost our place in our own. It’s exhausting trying to earn a connection that should be given freely. Real peace comes from deciding you’re worth more than the energy it takes to beg for someone’s attention.
Funny how the scenarios I build in my head find their way into reality. I’ve been hurt enough to believe I don’t deserve things that last. In the end, no one really cares. They just care about what benefits them. Or maybe it’s just me, a delusional romantic who hopes too much.
The loudest disrespect is realizing they were never going to tell you. If you hadnt find out, you’d still be clueless.
On the bright side, we learn to walk away without drama & thats the respect we gave to ourselves. They will never know how much pain we took to become this calm
Even if it seems impossible, I know I am asking the One who parted the sea for Moses(AS), who made the fire cool for prophet Ibrahim(AS), and who split the moon for Muhammad (pbuh).
So I believe, nothing is impossible.
It hurts in a different way, yet it brings a certain calmness when love becomes the very reason you return to Allah. Only Allah truly knows how much I have cried until my breath felt heavy while making du’a for something I deeply hope will happen this year.
Ya Allah, grant me a death that is beautiful. A death upon tawheed. A death while You are pleased with me. Do not let my last chapter be one of heedlessness. Let my grave be a garden from the gardens of Jannah. Fill it with light until the Day I rise to meet You 🤲🏻❤️ (6/6)
Ya Allah, when I am weak, be my strength. When I am confused, be my guidance. When I am hopeless, be my reassurance. And when I meet You, let it be with a heart that trusted You until the very end... (5/6)
Disappointed, but not surprised. I used to blame myself for caring too much and lending help to those who didn’t deserve it. Now I realize it’s just who I am, and I wouldn’t change that.
