Kashmeer, son of Akhtaran Bakhlani Bugti, was forcibly disappeared by ISI personnel from Karachi’s Saddar area two days ago. Later he was taken to the Doli area of Dera Bugti and handed over to death squad operative Shahnawaz Chakrani. Today, his body was found in Doli bearing bullet wounds.
Kashmeer had been working as a laborer in factories in Karachi for several years. The incident has raised serious concerns over enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan.

Since yesterday, the Pakistani army has been carrying out a large-scale military operation in the Seghari and Lanju areas of Dera Bugti.
A short while ago, Pakistani forces began heavy mortar shelling targeting civilian-populated areas. According to local sources, women and children were injured, and several livestock were killed in the shelling.
Dera Bugti: A military operation is underway in several areas of Sui, including Lanju and Seghari.
A large number of Pakistani troops, accompanied by death squad personnel, have occupied a school in Seghari and established a checkpoint there.
