Our intricate 'Lotus of the Dal' pure silk, hand-knotted Kashmiri carpet, found its way to Antilla, the residence of the Ambani family.

Am delighted to see this video posted by @viralbhayani77 of a surprise celebration of Mrs. Nita Mukesh Ambani's birthday by the Antilla staff where the exquisite carpet is seen.

The masterpiece looks even more beautiful after having found a place in its eventual home.

A shoutout to @nmacc_india for the extraordinary platform it has provided for the crafts.

The piece measures 9 feet x 11 feet and has a complexity of around 600 knots per square inch. An elaborate palette was used to create varying hues and the 3 dimensional watercolour effect in the piece.

Luxury craft heritage survives only if patrons exist.

Shivpora, Srinagar WATERLOGGED!
12 hours since the rain stopped and 10 years since the great floods, we have: waterlogged streets, overflowing drains, kids and mothers walking to school through dirty stinking water and almost each of the older houses in the colony inundated with water.

Wish the bureaucrats and cantonment officials lived in the city and not on the foothills at Chasm-e-Shahi or BB Cantt where water drains away - they'd have had each drain fixed.
