This is baby Amaar’s medical note from 3 months ago. It says “acute grief attack” by a neurologist, and he continued to get from bad to worse because there was no respite.
Maybe it was his time, that’s our eeman surely, but the trigger was grief- and that kills me. We are all parents, this pain is all consuming- may no one outlive their own children, may no child have to carry weight beyond their years- Allah have mercy 🙏

And it was true. While his son was dying alone and uncared for, the father was under Army custody. He had every right to bail that was denied to him unfairly, he should have been there to care for his son.
They took the father away and threw the child to the wolves who kept raiding his house. In the end, the father couldnt even bury the child. They did that. My Army did that.
There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of this. Thre is no qoumi tarana loud enough that will drown out this child cries for help.

Our existing state institutions in their dilapidated present state, the executive, judiciary and legislature are incapable of delivering any meaningful economic development. We tried different combinations of governance since 1947 and none worked. Many attribute our failures to interference by the establishment without ascertaining the reasons for the vicious cycle.

It is high time we re-evaluate how Pakistan needs to be governed for it to be a modern nation on the planet Earth. This should be the Great Debate. And this requires a 360 degree analysis of every aspect of Pakistani society.
