@HunterYurachek this 4 year old kid still sits in 116 to this day and has supported Arkansas baseball as much as anybody. But unfortunately now at 23 years old I can’t donate $40,000. Good work!
I know I’m likely going to lose my spot on the Hot Corner, but that’s not even what’s truly important here.
Baum has already lost much of its atmosphere outside of SEC weekend games because so many of our seats are already owned by corporations who let them go empty, or by people trying to turn a profit by asking $200 a seat for midweeks. This plan is about to make it worse.
So many of our fans budget and give up other activities to be able to spend their time at Baum - it’s more than baseball - we’re as much family to each other as anything. This move has effectively finished pushing folks with an average income in our state right on out of the opportunity to be a part of the magic.
Yes, the current environment has changed the game dramatically and we likely aren’t done. But, like many other things he’s in charge of, this reeks of the “first, easiest solution” rather than trying to find something that works.
Abysmal failure, HY
Only two pairs of brothers have hit back-to-back home runs in @MLB history:
Lloyd & Paul Waner (@Pirates, 1938)
B.J. & Justin Upton (@Braves, 2013)
That's how rare of a feat it was for Wehiwa & Kuhio Aloy to do exactly that last night.
