@cherylsteighner I'm not sure I could ever be fully out of the classroom, though! I think I decided to hone in on teaching right now... really try to feel good about each subject I teach before moving forward to something new. Also, LWSD just cut the coaching program. :(
Alum don't rush back to schools to find the textbook where they memorized a fact while in school. They rush back to see their Favorite teachers, the ones who impacted their lives on a personal level=relationship #satchat
Any garden expert classrooms out there that want to Skype with my kindergarteners about the importance of a school garden? We are working to find out the best way to support our community in making healthy food choices. #skypeintheclassroom#skypefriends#schoolgardens
Today we are publishing our first pattern books. I'm wondering if there is a way to create a visual anthology of all of my student's published books to share with parents? #SPUedtech
How vitally important is reflection? Even for 5 year olds! This journaling format is something I adapted from @alienearbud and his new book Better Leaders Better Schools Roadmap. I’m going to try it out with my kinders. Thank you for all of your wisdom, Danny!!! #BLBS
My kindergarteners are getting confident enough to navigate and troubleshoot the @DreamBox_Learn page INDEPENDENTLY! I never thought I'd see the day! <3 <3 <3 #SPUedtech
I am so proud of EVERY SINGLE VOTER out there, who took the time to participate in our country's democracy... our country's "immune system"... we seriously diversified our government last night, and for that I am extremely grateful! #educatorswhoadvocate#democracy#grateful
@drdavidwicks@EdCampPSWA This was a series of videos I posted to my Instagram story. You can click the three dots on the bottom of an Instagram story and select "Save story" and it will make a seamless video of the whole story. Pretty cool, huh?! :)
@EdCampPSWA today was great. I love the intentionality of this “unconference,” leaving space for what is needed right NOW. What a beautiful opportunity to be present, listen, share, ask questions, collaborate, and learn! #empowerededucators
Self-care is SUCH an important part of being a teacher... or any highly demanding service job, actually. We’ve gotta full up our cups so we can pour into others all day. How do you self-care? I prefer hot chai on the river. #teacherlove#selfcareeveryday#GreatOutDoors
