walked by a highschool and started to have fantasy about being a media studies teacher. i asked the class "what are the differences between a movie and a tv show?" and started wring them on a white board
-tv you watch at home
-movies you watch in a theater or at home
-sometimes for a special episode of tv they'll show it in a theater though
-movies are longer usually more than 90 minutes
-tv episodes are shorter, but sometimes exceed 90 minutes
-tv shows are episodic
-movies stand alone, but oftentimes become episodic. like star wars or kung fu panda
-tv shows have commercials
-movies don't have commercials but sometimes the streaming platform will make you watch commercials during them anyway
and then bonus what's the difference between movies and tv and platform content like videos on youtube, instagram, and tiktok?
wish i had the foresight to preorder the iphone duo before it went out of stock bc i think having one in my hands right now would actually "cure me". sad my mind works this was but it does
