Social service programs are drained. School resources are overwhelmed. Car insurance rates skyrocketed. Rental properties non-existent or significantly overpriced.

The only ‘serious damage’ that will done is to the wealthy/elite who profited from exploiting the situation - most especially the mayor.

Don’t believe the business owners singing the praises of their Haitian workforce. OF COURSE they love paying them slave wages and letting the taxpayer fund their healthcare and feed them with SNAP and food pantries.

Don’t believe the landlords who call tn ‘model’ tenants. Unless of course you consider ‘model’ to be subsidized and paid per person per month instead of how every citizen normally pays.

Don’t believe the temp agencies who call them ‘dedicated’ workers. They may very well be, but the dedication to which they refer is that of the Temp agency owner who charges them not only to get the job, takes a cut per hour, but also charges them daily transportation fees to take them to and from work.

You sound like the northern businesses post slavery who offered freed slaves pennies on the dollar to do the same job as the white man and called it freedom when it was just exploitation masquerading as progress.
