A new review by the U.S. Government Accountability Office found the Department of Government Efficiency site's claim of $110 billion in taxpayer savings was vastly inflated and unreliable. https://t.co/SlQgGwelaR
Wolf: What hasn’t been discussed publicly, to my knowledge, is the fact that, in my opinion, President Trump committed a crime in negotiating the settlement agreement in this case and it’s possible that Mr. Blanche would be found to be a co-conspirator in that crime. Let me try to explain…
Congress enacted a statute that makes it illegal for the president or the vice president to directly or indirectly request the initiation or termination of a tax investigation. There’s a potential five-year prison term for violating that statute.
Donald Trump would not have immunity from criminal prosecution for violating that statute in this case because he filed this lawsuit in his personal capacity. Therefore, negotiating the settlement was not an official act for which he has immunity as president.
So, in this case, he was negotiating essentially with himself. As Judge Williams said in Trump v. IRS—a case in which I’m one of the 35 plaintiffs who, through excellent lawyers, persuaded the court to reopen the case and find that this was not a genuine case—it wasn’t a real case or controversy that was legitimately in federal court. It was a collusive case brought for an improper purpose: to get a personal benefit for President Trump, his family, and his allies.
@MaryC0816@j3nnyb00m It’s not shaming her appearance, it’s shaming her fashion choice, very different. And allowed. This is serious, not costume cosplay time 🎀
Notice DOJ doesn't talk about its efforts to obtain state voter files anymore. They are 0-20 in those cases and today is the beginning of the quiet period -- states can no longer do systematic removals of names from the voter rolls.
TLDR: We won!🥳
Conservative radio host Erick Erickson on Senator Jon Ossoff: You talk to farmers in South Georgia, they can get him on the phone. They can get his staff on the phone. They can get help. You talk to Republicans in Houston County, very Republican part of the state, they know they can reach out to Ossoff, and he doesn't care that they're Republican. If they need something, he's going to get it done.
Chevron just posted $12 billion in profit. Up 400% in a year. Their biggest quarter ever. Exxon made $14.5 billion. You paid for all of it at the pump.
Say what you want about Trump. He’s making something great again. And who’s more deserving than Big Oil.
In 2024 he asked them for a billion dollars and promised their whole wish list in return. This morning they collected.
“This is the hypocrisy of the year and we have our popcorn ready for this one. Stephen and Katie Miller, yes that Stephen Miller, quietly leaned on Anthony Fauci to protect their own family. Then they demanded he rot in prison.
Fauci’s diary gave it away, the same diary Rand Paul released to smear him. In 2020, Katie Miller tested positive for COVID while 10 weeks pregnant. Fauci, the man we all came to love, called her several times a day to keep her calm. He got on the phone with the doctors treating their newborn. He advised Stephen too.
“I am calling katie frequently to check on her couple time per day,” Fauci wrote. “She is very anxious about getting very ill since she is 10 weeks pregnant.”
And notice this. The passages about the Millers got quietly scrubbed out of Paul’s release. Funny how that happens.
Now look at them today. Katie Miller says Fauci’s pardon should be “trashed” and that “he should be in jail.” Stephen went on Fox and sneered at “so-called healthcare government experts.” This is the man they trusted with their pregnant wife and their sick baby.
That’s who’s running your government. Beg the expert in private, throw him to the mob in public. Yesterday they cheered Paul’s hearing. This is exactly what that hearing was built to bury.”

Yet another government official has resigned in protest over the Trump admin's policies. The executive director of the Office of Homeland Security Statistics is leaving the agency, citing "the war on immigrants, the war on feds, and the war on facts."
