Mel Brooks turns 100 today.
Thank you for Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Producers, and everything that followed. You proved comedy can be smart, bold, and fearless.
Happy 100th, legend.
Mel Brooks is 100 years old today! Many people think that Mel is my father. He isn’t. But what he is is one of the great comic minds of the last 100 years. Happy birthday Mel, from your fake son.
Mel Brooks always said he and the cast of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN had such a good time making the film, they could barely get through any of the takes 😂 I could watch this all day
God wants you to remember to take it one step at a time, one day at a time. And don’t forget to imagine best case scenarios too, because if we’re believing in God, then we’re believing in miracles. I know you’re going through some tough stuff right now, but you’re doing amazing and everything will be okay. You’re growing through this and even though it might not seem like it, this too carries a blessing in disguise that will support your soul’s purpose.
So hold the faith and keep taking care of yourself because God is always with you and has already made the way.
In the 1950s, archaeologist Kathleen Kenyon excavated the ruins of Jericho and found something strange. The city's mudbrick walls had not been pulled down from the outside, as a besieging army would do. They had fallen outward, collapsing flat so that attackers could climb straight over the rubble into the city.
In Joshua 6, it is written that the walls of Jericho "fell down flat," and the people "went up into the city, every man straight before him." For centuries, skeptics treated this as legend. But the physical evidence tells a story that no ancient army could have staged. Walls do not fall outward under their own weight or under battering rams. They fall inward. These fell the wrong way.
Kenyon also found something else: large jars still full of grain. In the ancient world, grain was wealth. A conquering army always looted the food stores. A long siege would have consumed them. But Jericho fell after only seven days, and the grain was left untouched and burned. Joshua had commanded that the city be devoted entirely to God, that nothing be taken. The charred storage jars are a silent witness to obedience.
Think about what this means. A people who had wandered the desert for forty years, who had no siege engines, no catapults, no engineering corps, stood before a fortified city and did nothing but march and shout. And the walls came down.
To the world, faith looks like foolishness. They say miracles belong to myth. But the stones of Jericho lie exactly where the Word of God said they would fall. The God who flattened those walls is the same God who keeps every promise He has ever made. He is faithful. He is mighty. He does not lie. Trust Him. Obey Him. Walk straight forward into what He has called you to, even when the walls look impossible.
Our God is the LORD of hosts. Nothing stands against Him. Thank You, Jesus.

Allow me to pray Psalm 91 over your life today:
May you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and may you remain under the shadow of the Almighty.
May the Lord be your refuge and your fortress. When fear rises, when uncertainty comes, when battles surround you, may your heart remember that God is faithful and He is with you.
I pray that every trap of the enemy set against your life will fail. Every hidden attack, every evil report, every arrow that flies by day, and every terror that comes by night shall not prevail over you.
May the Lord cover you with His feathers, and may you find safety under His wings. May His truth be your shield and your protection.
I declare that no evil shall overpower you, and no disaster shall come near your dwelling. The Lord will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.
You will not be destroyed by what was sent to break you. You will not be swallowed by fear. You will not lose your peace. The God who has kept you until now will continue to preserve you.
May the Lord satisfy you with long life, reveal His salvation to you, and cause you to see His goodness in every area of your life.
In the name of Jesus, amen.
The Miami Marlins are searching for the dog that went viral after watching another pup enjoy a hot dog during Monday’s game. The team has posted a "wanted" flyer and is promising the overlooked pooch a dream day at the ballpark.
