CO Mines laid it on Adams St on Saturday afternoon (10/18/25), beating the Grizzlies 72-14.
The Orediggers scored early and often, putting up 21 points in the 1st quarter, 28 in the 2nd, and 20 in the 3rd.
In the rout, the Orediggers had an unbelievable 763 yards of total offense, with 287 in the air and 476 on the ground!! As I’m not smart enough to have even applied to CO Mines, I triple checked that calculation!!
CO Mines QB Joseph Capra threw 6 TD passes, and RB Max Barnes rushed for 201 yards on 18 carries for a ridiculous 11.2 average!!
Leading CO Mines to the win were:
🏈 Joseph Capra, 14 Cmps on 18 Atts for 226 Yds & 6 TDs in addition to 67 rushing Yds;
🏈 Max Barnes, 18 Carries for 201 Yds & 1 TD;
🏈 Josh Snyder, 12 Carries for 109 Yds & 1 TD;
🏈 Pierce Richards, 5 Recs for 88 Yds & 3 TDs;
🏈 Luke Johnson, 6 Tackles (2 Solo & 4 Ast) with 2 TFLs, including 1.5 Sacks;
🏈 Hall Edmonds, 5 Tackles (3 Solo & 2 Ast).
CO Mines heads to Gunnison next Saturday where they intend on spoiling Western CO’s perfect season by handing them an L.

CO Mines took a week’s worth of frustration out on BHSU yesterday (9/27/25) afternoon, beating the Yellow Jackets 36-27 to even their conference record at 1-1.
The Orediggers started fast, building a 14-0 lead in the 1st quarter and eventually took a 15 point lead into halftime. In the second half, CO Mines battled and stymied a BHSU comeback attempt.
The Orediggers’ defense was stingy all game, holding BHSU to just 70 yards on the ground and creating 3 turnovers (2 fumbles & 1 INT).
CO Mines’ R-Jr WR Nick Stone was Mr. Reliable, with 7 significant receptions. One reception was for a TD while 4 others were for 1st downs, including a huge 10 yard gain on a 3rd and 5 in the middle of the 4th quarter that helped the Orediggers chew up clock.
Leading the Orediggers to the win were:
🏈 Joseph Capra, 24 Cmps on 35 Atts for 272 Yds passing & 3 TDs in addition to 73 Yds rushing and 1 rushing TD;
🏈 Pierce Richards, 7 Recs for 117 Yds & 1 TD;
🏈 Nick Stone, 7 Recs for 71 Yds & 1 TD;
🏈 Will Ramsey, 8 Tackles (3 Solo & 5 Ast);
🏈 Sean Gilbert, 7 Tackles (4 Solo & 3 Ast) with 1 TFL & a Forced Fumble; &
🏈 Hall Edmonds, 5 Tackles (4 Solo & 1 Ast) & an INT.
