Going back to my undergrad days and translating a bit of Tale of Sinuhe. Love my Old Kingdom tomb biographies but Middle Egyptian literature is a nice change. This will be accompanied by an ice lolly and sitting directly in front of a fan. God I’m so rock and roll…..
@queenofthesou1 That is amazing, my sister passed away from alcoholism, she just couldn’t fight her demons, so I love to see anyone doing well with their sobriety. It’s the hardest fight, so be proud, 1 day or 1 year, doesn’t matter, you’ve got this!!!!! 💪🏻
Shameless plug!!! My book is available to buy through Abercromby Press. It tackles themes concerning rites of passage, promotions, issues with the hereditary succession of office, and social mobility, all during the Old Kingdom.
Welcome to the family Ozzy, the kitten of darkness!!! His big sister Mavis is slowly coming to terms with her new little brother, although you can tell she’s looking at me, thinking you traitor….
It’s finally here, if you want to delve into the preparation and processes needed for an official to step into office and the contradicting themes of hereditary versus meritocratic promotions then this is for you!!! It will be available to buy very soon!!!
I’m a receptionist in student accommodation, which is my regular job and income, and I’m a bit like a gigging musician with the Egyptology stuff. I have 2 identities, I’m like Clark Kent except I can’t fly and I have a tendency to bore people with random Egyptology facts 💪🏻
