The fact that this man has taken a pay cut in order to stay with us for one more year, speaks for itself.
We paid £3M for Schar back in 2018
251 appearances, scoring 22 goals in that time.
He now heads into his 9th season at the Club.
Bargain is an understatement.

🚨BREAKING: Fabian Schar has signed a new one-year deal at NUFC.
🗣️Schar: "I’m really pleased to be staying at the club. I feel like I’ve achieved a lot in my eight years here but I believe there is still much more to come."
I’m currently grieving losing a friendship with close (female) mate. She lied, manipulated the friendship group & broke my trust. I feel like I’m going thru it in all the usual stages of grief & I’m really struggling. Please someone confirm this is normal & the pain will fade?
@CurtisWhitfiel4 You’re right - she knows. Deep down. Easier to blame others, be defensive or ignore it (she’s done all three in phases) thank you for your kind words, it really has made me feel better xx
@CurtisWhitfiel4 She knows my most important morales and principles are respect and loyalty - that almost makes it hurt more. She’s only thinking about herself and when I tried to tell her about my hurt she couldn’t take any responsibility, so I knew then it was done forever 😭😢🥲 xx
Isak got greedy and rushed the move. Gordon rejected Liverpool twice, backed himself, and waited for the right club. One year later, Gordon got exactly what he wanted, while Isaks stuck somewhere he never wanted to be because they offered to double his wages #NUFC
The way we’ve handled the Anthony Gordon sale is quite promising for the rest of the window tbh. Done early, minimal fuss, respectful exit for both parties. Clearly learned from the Isak mess last summer.
Key question is have we learned our lesson on incoming transfers? #NUFC
I wonder if Alexander Isak looks at stuff like this and thinks 'what if...'
Left on good terms, move works for both parties, plenty of goodwill from fans... #nufc
