@MrBonMot Because botels are boats tied up semi-permanently at the dock and used as hotels. I always stay in a botel in Amsterdam.

@HeyItsSinko64 We were colonized by lots of countries. They almost made German the official language at one point. Sojourner Truth wrote her famous “Ain’t I a woman?” speech in Dutch. But we also made a conscious effort to do things differently than the British.

@volcaholic1 I already have a permanent wet bulb heat injury from being at our house in Peru waiting to get the AC installed. If I’d known then what I know now, I would have stayed in a hotel. I had no idea back then how quickly heat can kill you.
