My work email is my nickname. My previous employer work photo ID badge was my nickname. But that’s not good enough for @LinkedIn@linkedinhelp#bannedbylinkedin
@LinkedIn@LinkedInHelp has zero real human customer support. If you have been banned wrongfully, for having a nickname to your full name, they will not review or reason or allow evidence. Sickening company. Disgraceful service. Staggering lack of care.
Wow. So I think @linkedin is targeting me because I post Catholic content. I have never violated their user agreement, but can’t even create an account now with the name I exclusively use, which is a reasonable nickname to my legal name. But my new account was also restricted.
@LinkedInHelp and the only way to get any response was to take to X publicly. What a sick, twisted, ruthless, heartless company to tout professionalism and then arbitrarily axe a real person using it for real reasons.
Now @LinkedIn has me in literal tears because the case is closed, they have permanently locked me out of my professional network, and there is apparently nothing to be done. No sympathy, proof, access, reasons… I never would’ve forgotten my password if I knew they were so cruel.

Apparently I am permanently locked out of my OWN @LinkedIn account because I forgot my password and go by a nickname. That, apparently, is “misrepresenting myself” even though I’ve gone by Shelly since grade 8 and @LinkedInHelp was useless other than to “close” my case. Help.
I’ve been locked out of my @LinkedIn for weeks now and it was ME trying to get in, just forgot my password and which email I even used! Sent ID to then weeks ago and still haven’t heard a word. Soooo frustrating. @LinkedInHelp hasn’t answered either.
