Tried to talk male violence with @TomElliot Cut off for a man. Elliot says women shld protect themselves more! He dilutes an urgent issue to suggest men bashing. All men must unequivocally voice strident opposition to violence, it's not a 'women's issue'. #violenceagainstwomen

@samtwyfordmoore No new books for years; still a writer - do it constantly in my head, just can’t get words on the page right now.
Instead I volunteer in a small op shop, which gives me purpose and community. Interesting idea to hear what writers do when the words dry up.
