*some personal news*
After more than eight years at the Shepparton News, this is my last week in the newsroom. I have loved my time at The News and the wider McPherson Media Group, but it is time for a change and a new challenge.
Over in Numurkah, Central Park has put on 7-156 in the B-grade decider thanks to Sam Holland’s 60* (110). #MMGSport@SheppNewsSport Tigers were 4-48 early.
Central Park-St Brendan’s claim the A-grade One Day @CricketShepp premiership, rolling Nagambie for 42 and chasing it 1-down. Rum Yze 4-5 from 7 among the stars with the ball @SheppNewsSport#MMGSport
Crews from across the region battled up to 10 fires in Kialla scrubland last night, which police believe were deliberately lit. https://t.co/L6cvJe0uKh
It comes in the same week as the state government again chose to use an unnamed spokesperson to take a jab at the opposition - here: https://t.co/F84dtyuXKg
Delays to the delivery of the Shepparton Rail Upgrade - as well as concerns surrounding nameless 'spokesperson' quotes from the government - have been highlighted in Parliament House this week.

And Nagambie’s Sharni Lloyd (nee Hutton) won an incredible 5th A-grade Warren Medal. Her 2024 crown goes with her 2017, 2013, 2010 and 1999 awards. #MMGSport
JR’s forgotten more about country footy than most will ever learn. I’m tipping plenty will agree with his thoughts here too. #MMGSport https://t.co/0mUVdHeiVQ
Fairly dramatic finish to the KDL McNamara Medal tonight - a four-way tie, with one of those ineligible. James Milne (Murch), Rielly Old and Blake Fothergill (Nagambie) all take home a medal, Shepp East’s Tom McCluskey the ineligible player. #MMGSport
I'll once again be running a GVL live blog on Sunday - and in exciting news the Riverine Herald is also running a Murray league blog from Moama on Saturday. There's already so much preview content up on the Shepp News website, go check it out #MMGSport https://t.co/ckMw7OP6YW
An all-timer in the 'unique yarns' category from @LiamNash77 here - the tale of how veteran KDL forward Cobey Aynsley won a club goalkicking award in another league this season, from one game. #MMGSport https://t.co/xDZL9khSud
