🥳 WE GOT THE BURSARY🥳
Today the @scotgov have annouced that from Sept 21 there will be a bursary for student paramedics in Scotland, equal to that of nurses and midwives!
Our campaign has put this issue on the agenda and won! Thank you to every single person that helped us 😍
Brilliant meeting with @AnasSarwar today. He was clear in his commitment that student paramedics in Scotland deserve a bursary whilst we train.
We are going to keep fighting so that no student paramedic has to study in poverty ✊🏿✊🏽✊🏻
@CarragherHollie @JJLindenSNP @HumzaYousaf Can’t wait to get started with you Hollie! Fingers crossed our representatives implement the student paramedic bursary by September to allow us to support our public services with reduced financial stress 😊
🚑Students paramedics need support! Too many students are being priced out of the course because they are unable to juggle their placements, studying and working at the same time
👇Today we've written to @HumzaYousaf&@jamiehepburn to support @ParamedicsPay calling for bursaries
Today we have written to @HumzaYousaf and @S_A_Somerville asking for a meeting so to get the SNP manifesto commitment to a student paramedic bursary in place by September.
Let's sit down, talk and make this happen. #PayStudentParamedics
Absolutely over the moon at getting 84 in my dissertation on the SAS’s responses to psychiatric emergencies and the potential for a version of the Swedish Psychiatric Ambulance to be effective in Scotland- just in time for starting as a student paramedic at GCU in September 🥳
@BenJWatson86 @Yoyopara1 Thank you Ben, I really enjoyed doing the research and it feels like an ever growing area of importance. Definitely happy to share, I’ll pm 😊
