Those of us campaigning for the public to have a say over our collective future with a #PeoplesVote must make clear our vision for the greatest social transformation this country has seen in years.
The status quo is indefensible.

@DavidPiesing63@BBCGuernsey Before criticising, the pop needs to understand what services Aurigny are asked to provide for the Island. Too my knowledge only two routes are profitable but the others are lifeline routes like Soton and Exeter. Speculative routes are always a risk if not supported by travel Cos
@deputycgreen @Alanlepat@NigelStaples@IoDGsy@ricklowe08 Challenge is to engage with interested Depts at an early stage. Those with a particular interest do not have the opp to contribute to policy making outside of the committee that they are elected too other than at SOG debates. We need to minimise the need for amendments.
@deputycgreen @NigelStaples@IoDGsy@ricklowe08 It's what the SOG do best Chris, as we both know. Education mess is a good example of this. We need a structure that maintains the integrity of policy lettes. if unsatisfactory, throw them back to committee. Dont let ill thought out amendments destroy a policy.
@earlofgsy@tothevale How can a majority vote for one of five options of a 40% turnout of those registered ( half of those eligible ? ) , be a sufficient mandate for change ? There have been several changes since I came to the Island in 1968 and we are still searching for a better process.
@guernconners@comp_future Interestingly all schools follow similar curricular, are staffed by well qualified teachers who have similar aspirations for their students. There is little actual difference but the population love to think there is Connie.
@ricklowe08 Our life experiences and learning bring us to where we are at any one time Rick. You have spent a life making the most of opportunities in the private sector. I have worked in industry but have spent most of my life in education and have loved it. We see things differently.
@richarddigard@oldfarmhorace You are deliberately ignoring my point about the world's wealth in such few hands. If that isn't a concern to you but socialism is then there isnt much more to say , is there ?
