Mom, Aunt, Wife, Network Engineer, Cake Decorator, Bisexual Feminist. Not part of your Alphabet Soup. I respect pronouns by not confusing them w/adjectives.
@elisabethepps While you were busy making sure that women could opt-out of womanhood and men could opt-into it, adult human females lost their constitutional right to bodily autonomy.
Abortion is a Women’s rights issue and if you don’t understand that, you’re part of the problem.
@AHomelyHouse Nevermind that “your child” can literally kill you in many different situations. It’s still not “clinically” relevant. As a matter of fact, why even give mother’s hospital bracelets with their own names? They’re not the patient, the “with child” is. Women are merely wombs.
@Sabiha1278 You must press charges. I say this as a parent. This teen needs consequences and they aren’t getting any from their parents.
$50 is an insult and it’s not even about the windshield. You could have been killed.
@fem_mb I understand. I have been in the same spot with one of my best friends. It has forever damaged the relationship we had. What hurts me the most is that it was easier to believe that I had become a hateful bigot than it was to consider that I might know more than she did.
@DaleJr Very well said, Jr. My husband and I were your fans and we hated watching Kyle win. But we grew to respect his enormous talent and temper did soften as he got a little older.
We are grieving with you, the Busch family, and the entire Nascar nation. 💙
@AustinKonenski I watched Kyle win at Richmond on his birthday. My husband and I were Dale, Jr. fans and didn’t particularly like Kyle. That race was like the 4th or 5th won we had traveled to and Kyle won. I commented to my husband that we ought to stop spending so much money to watch him win.
@Texachev ABSOLUTELY!!!!! And I wasn’t a KyBu fan. But he definitely deserves to be there and honoring him immediately seems like the right thing to do.
@DamnItdale88 I wasn’t a Nascar fan back then, but no, I wouldn’t draw a parallel with DE necessarily. For one thing, he died in a race—biggest race of the year. For another thing, as I understand it, DE had a much larger fanbase. But, in terms of impact to the sport, yes, it’s a huge loss.
@SlimWiggy Part of it is the minimalism aesthetic. I hate it. You might not like my cluttered house, but I don’t want to live in your mausoleum.
People who like minimalism, are soulless ghouls.
@rayengroves Oh, that’s easy. You just do whatever your child wants all the time. It works really well until you’re having to bail them out of jail when they’re in high school.
@Bless_ThisMess7 Typically consequences are best after you have made a rule and specified the consequence. But at times, you may need to create a new logical consequence because your kid got a little too creative.
Tell your daughter thank you for the advice, but it’s not her job to fix you.
@sappholives83 I’m in. I tried the same strategy at work asking to start a female-centric ERG. They assumed I meant a “Women’s ERG” so I corrected them. No, an ERG for females, including nonbinary and and transmen. The DEI council abruptly ended our meeting. Instead we now have no ERGs.
