This is a wonderful testament to a man that offered everything to the football club. He will always be remembered as one of, if not the person, that kept Bashley Football Club alive and kicking.

Mike is sorely missed - well done here, guys.

⚽️⚽️Chairman’s Statement⚽️⚽️

Since taking control of Bashley Football Club, we have been working hard to strengthen every area of the club, both on and off the pitch, while making sure we continue to recognise the people who have played such an important part in our history.

One of the things that was very important to me was ensuring that Mike Cranidge’s contribution to Bashley Football Club was properly recognised.

I am therefore incredibly proud that our main stand has now officially been renamed The Mike Cranidge Stand.

For me, this is about far more than simply putting a name on a stand. It is about celebrating a man who gave so much of his time, passion, love and commitment to Bashley Football Club.

Mike was a huge part of this club, and his name deserves to remain a permanent part of Bashley for generations to come.

On Tuesday 22nd September, we will mark the third anniversary of Mike’s passing as our First Team welcome Southampton.

Alongside Mike’s children, Neil and Emma, we would love to invite everyone who knew Mike — whether as a friend, supporter, volunteer or through their own connection with Bashley Football Club — to join us for what we hope will be a very special evening.

This will be an opportunity not only to remember Mike, but to celebrate his life, his contribution to the club and the many memories he created here over the years.

The First Team will proudly wear black armbands, and before kick-off we will hold a one-minute applause in Mike’s memory.

We would love to see as many familiar faces as possible at the club, sharing stories, memories and celebrating someone who meant so much to Bashley Football Club.

The Mike Cranidge Stand will now stand as a permanent reminder of everything Mike gave to this club, and I am extremely proud that his name will forever be part of Bashley Football Club.

We look forward to welcoming you all on Tuesday for what we hope will be a very special evening.
