2. Le Cameroun a fait construire son propre câble SAIL qui part de Kribi. On a toujours une dette à la Chine de plus de $500 millions (280 milliards CFA) pour sa construction. Il a le double de la capacitÊ de WACS.
3. On a trois autres câbles (ACE, SAT-3 et MainOne) en cas de dĂŠfaillance dâun câble.
4. Tous les câbles sont sous le contrĂ´le de lâĂtat đ¨đ˛ qui a donnĂŠ lâexclusivitĂŠ de lâexploitation Ă Camtel.
5. Seules les solutions satellitaires comme Starlink (qui nâest pas autorisĂŠ) ĂŠchappent au contrĂ´le de lâĂtat. Yes vous comprenez alorsâŚ
6. Ensemble, ces câbles offrent plus de 70 Tbit/s de capacitĂŠ Internet, mais le Cameroun nâen utilise mĂŞme pas 15%.
7. Le gouvt a dĂŠjĂ utilisĂŠ la coupure internet contre sa population lorsquâelle a privĂŠ le Sud-ouest et le Nord-ouest dâinternet en 2017 pendant 93 jours.
