When I got sober I put aside all items I had stolen and went to each individual store and gave it back. It wasn’t about the items but more about confronting a behavior that was completely out of control and putting an end to all Dishonesty.
The addict version of me used to go into Walgreens and throw stuff in my bag like I was the grinch on Xmas. Then I moved up to tools at fleet farm. I swear stolen tools are used as a currency in the underworld 😂

Ive met so many people with horrible child hoods. Like it’s stuff you wouldn’t even believe. It’s so fucking sad to think about the little version of them just so scared and alone. Some people don’t stand a chance against addiction because of how bad their conditions were.
