This is a rhetorical move to threaten people into not professing certain opinions about theology.
In short, hegemonic intimidation into silence and/or compliance.
@ReprobateRob@DrDavidLAllen I don't disagree and I believe rebuttals in writing are beneficial. I don't see the wisdom or fruit of going on a podcast multiple times to talk about someone when there is an invitation for a face to face. If not a debate, then just a live convo. or drop it and just do writing
@DrDavidLAllen I read that response the first time you posted it. I guess my thought is that if you are unwilling to address the issue directly by speaking with the person maybe going on podcasts to talk about the person is not the best look. Especially in light of a face to face invitation.
@DrDavidLAllen "The sins of all men, of all times, of all the world, were expiated by Christ through his death."
If that is true, then all men, of all times, of all the world stand guiltless before the Father; i.e. universalism. Unless your trying to use another definition of "expiate"
@MikeWingerii Our church partners with a couple of churches in Canada and just had a team return from there doing community outreach, etc. with no issues.
@MikeWingerii@JustinPetersMin Something taking place temporally does not mean God learns that thing. This is a big issue I have with attempts to over-philosophy theology. This is not the only reason to be wary of Craig's theology. See his stance on Genesis 1-11 and Crist's natures.
@MikeWingerii@JustinPetersMin The problem with Craig's position is that he believes God has limited himself within time thus not considering at best, or denying at worst, God's transcendence beyond time and creation.
@ThrillaRilla369 Yes. Worked oilfield for several years, 84hrs per week minimum.
Worked construction, normal week was 48hrs with some 50-60 depending on project.
Justification is the doctrine on which the church stands or falls. Either we must do something to be saved, or our salvation is purely a gift of grace.
@ERLC Dont forget lobbying against a bill in La that had a good chance of passing and would have completely abolished abortion of all kinds in the state and extended legal protection to the unborn.
