I just travelled across the city on two busses for two hours only to be told that my appointment has been rescheduled for four hours from now. Fuck you very much, @AHS_media. Now stuck in an unfamiliar part of the city with no car and no services.
@theresa_sokyrka @WestJet I feel it! It sucks! I'm only trying to combat misinformation :) yes the pilots served strike notice but they could have still done rotating strikes, or work to rule, or other things. WestJet said "nope!" And decided locking them out full stop is the right answer instead.
@takingcareofbi1@WestJetALPA I like how you assume WestJet cares about their call centre employees enough to think the increase in volume will have any impact on the company.
@DGeek787 @WestJetNews@WestJet If AC used CEWS improperly, there are channels to report this to so they will face strict fines and punishment and public shaming. There are whistle-blower avenues to report this anonymously. I am not among those avenues.
@737ng2@WestJetNews@WestJet Canada and the US will never be an apples to apples comparison on this. The pilots aren't asking for 400K. They're not asking for top dollar. They're asking for the median range, and that's fair.
@737ng2@WestJetNews@WestJet Canada's aviation/transport industry woes are a self inflicted wound. If the Cabotage laws were re-examined and we could open up to actual competition instead of what we have now, this wouldn't even be a conversation.
@737ng2@WestJetNews@WestJet What's not viable is the cost of living. Why not pay everyone more so they don't have to choose between paying bills or paying rent? Pay people more, retain employees, make more money. Is this so hard?
@thatpaulmoffett@thatpaulmoffett The Toronto Raptors have beat you to it. Portland is further north than Toronto, yet the Raptors insist "we the North".
