A friend (F, master's educated, 5+ years of direct experience) recently found out that she was making over $12k less than the intern (M, recent grad) on her data science team.
It's 2022, we can do better.
Turns out the higher CPA came with a 1.5x in AOV (average order value).
The hyper-focus on one metric meant the bigger picture got lost.
TLDR: don't forget to sanity check against other performance indicators

Curious, when you get a cold reach out for networking is it standard to expect the person to:
- have a clear ask
- confirm details of when/how to connect
- send the calendar invite (or at least offer first)
I thought yes. Friends are telling me that's unrealistic.
This weekend: hospital visit to congratulate new mama & baby, engagement party, going away for med school party, Sunday night birthdays & the gym.
