@HMRCcustomers Thanks for clarifying Tom. It would be beneficial if this was explained more clearly in the guidance (perhaps with some made up examples) as I am aware of a number of people who have been confused over this.
@HMRCcustomers. Mileage allowance relief using car for work. If I've done 10000 miles and company paid me 15p per mile, it states I'm claiming £3000 (£4500-£1500) and I need to complete a self assessment form. But I'm only claiming the tax paid (e.g. 20%=£600), not the full £3000

@HMRCcustomers I have been trying to chase up a long overdue request for payment from my online self assessment but keep going around in a loop on the phone and digital assistant. Please provide details of how I can resolve this. Thanks.
@HMRCcustomers 19 Mar 2023. I received a message confirming receipt of the request stating you will aim to issue repayment on two weeks. My online account states the amount is still available for repayment. I sent a further request today.
