The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts.

What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis. 🦋

Hey everyone, thank you so much for all the kind messages. I haven’t been able to get to all of them because it’s been so chaotic here, but my mom is home now. We got back by 7am & I wasn’t really able to sleep until my friend Vic got here this morning, so I’m sorry for not updating sooner. She’s still a bit dizzy & her head hurts, but we’re home so that’s what matters. Thank you for all the wishes, prayers & love you’ve been sending. I’m genuinely so thankful this wasn’t something scarier & I’m really sorry for breaking down the way I did on stream.

My mom means everything to me. She’s my best friend, my soulmate & I just couldn’t keep going if something ever happened to her. Even the thought of it makes it hard for me to breathe. Last night was truly one of the scariest nights I’ve ever lived through, besides last year when she was hospitalized for her oxygen issues (which they still haven’t figured out).​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ I’ll be back when it feels right, but for now, I’ll be with my mama & just making sure she’s getting back to normal.
