@ChinSpot1 Yes, u are right. Shfluff has been eating things for years and has always been healthy. I was concerned about the avocado though

@ChinSpot1 I rushed him to the vet a couple hours later when he suddenly became sluggish and unresponsive. :(

@ChinSpot1 I noticed he ate almost half an avocado earlier that day, but he seemed fine for awhile.

@ChinSpot1 He was four years old. Doctor's think it was the avocado he ate. He recently figured out how to jump on my kitchen counter.

While I'm deeply devastated by my loss, I'll never forget the amazing 2 1/2 years we had together. Chinchilla owners: Beware of avocados!

I took him home and cared for him all night, but he died so suddenly. Doctors think it was the avocado he ate.

Unfortunately Shfluff didn't make it. The doctors took xrays and only found gas buildup in his stomach and intestines
