Muslims make up the majority in Maiduguri, Borno State and we are still in the month of Ramadan; Now on Monday at around 7 p.m. there were bomb attacks in four strategic places that has reportedly claimed lives and caused panic. Remember this when u want to downplay the seriousness of the insecurity crisis by making it about religion.
Now that said, despite these continuous barbaric attacks, the govt will still carries on with the de-radicalizing of terrorists thru the Operation Safe Corridor. Tell me how that programme sends any message or gets justice for the victims of terrorists?
You see our problems? Endless.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said "Read the Qur'an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection."
Beloved Brethren, please endeavor to recite the Holy Qur’an today, ponder over the meaning of each verse recited, and try your best to memorize the verses.
May Allah continue to make us among the people of the Holy Qur’an. Āmīn

I envy this brother always. He left nothing but good footprints. Allah took him away before he became corrupt. He protected him from the mess that we are dealing with. May Allah continue to shower His blessings on him and forgive our sins. Āmīn.
Good afternoon, Honourable Commissioner @Officialgajam. Perhaps you could explain your concern more clearly. In my experience, there is no magic ratio between Capital and Recurrent expenditure. Virtually every item of capital expenditure has recurrent implications. Every school you build (Capital expenditure) will need teachers to teach in them (Recurrent expenditure).
Where Recurrent expenditure is markedly higher (say 80%) than Capital expenditure, it means that the state is just paying salaries and doing not much else.
Conversely, where Capital expenditure is markedly higher (say 80%) than Recurrent expenditure (unlikely in our environment), it means that the state is likely to be building things that it intends to outsource. It is likely to be underinvesting in direct service delivery.
For a developing country or state that wants to develop infrastructure and deliver services at the same time, it seems to me that a ratio of 52% Capital to 48% Recurrent is just about optimal.
What is your concern?
We will chop our father for north.
When our useless SAs are posting pictures of their governors in rallies and PR merchants promoting them against the collective interest and realities of the common northerners or masses.
When we have people calling terrorists, their brothers and Imams advocate for these criminals.
In the same north, we have a senator saying the removal of police from VIPs shouldn't happen.
A mass wedding was organised in this same zamfara where insecurities have been the order of the day.
Governors from the south will converge for a way forward and to protect their lands from Northern terrorits and bandits.
North Central = Middle belt, we need to start having this conversation. But it can only be possible when there is a common and genuine interest.
Middle belt consultative forum.
Open Grazing must be banned nationwide. It's one of the main causes of insecurity. Those who raise animals should raise them on their own private farms or ranches.
@NigeriaGov please ban Open Grazing.
We've come a long way and we must now begin to accept that we have a Fulani-herders problem and it is eating deep into our societies. Denials will not help us and before everything explodes, the madness must be stopped.
