@theMonsterEnvy@Wizards_DnD New entries have been. Some have been pretty good, agreed.
MotM did a little buffing and nerfing.
I still think even the newer monsters just don’t cut it, sadly. Especially when going against the best feats, abilities and spells that players have today.
@brandonfisher02 @Wizards_DnD I’m 100% with you on this. Power creep has been super strong. Last campaign: every subclass was Tasha’s. Do they know what Peace Cleric does at high level?! lol
Anyone have a good reason in #edh Thassa’s Oracle is fine but Coalition and Biorhythym are banned? Seems very imbalanced. Coalition creature can be killed in response, Oracle can’t be. Both are 8 mana, not a two card 3 mana combo. #mtg#CEDH
@StevenGarstone@MemesDnd Also a great point. If the monk is hitting someone 3-4 times a turn while invis, I usually have that monster try and fight back or use something to see them or flee. If they are late to the fray and invis, they can actually mess up the party by letting attacks hit the squishies.
@StevenGarstone@MemesDnd Totally fair. That is where the monk shines again with Evasion where the Barb most likely wont pass the Dex save and takes full fire damage.
@StevenGarstone@MemesDnd Yeah it’s pretty close imo late game. Being a good tank is also making saves, I’d argue. That’s where the Paladin and Monk shine and the Barb and Fighter lose out. But nothing will beat Barbs HP, d12 strong!
Just finished DMing a 2 year long lvl 13-20 campaign. Monks nuts lol
@StevenGarstone@MemesDnd At that level they have way more AC than the Barb. Typically they can have 20 in both Dex and Wis as well. Not hard to do. Also invis gives disadvantage. Plus they have proficiency in all saves.
Barbs only get physical resistance unless totem. This is for all monks.
@krassenstein “Racism against minorities is worse than against white people.”
And you wonder why people feel emboldened enough to do this thinking it’s justified. You’re literally downplaying it.
