From the ground, sea, air, and beyond, the men and women of our Armed Forces sacrifice all for the freedom of our nation. We’re honored to support their mission.
Today, we celebrate 39 years of @USSOCOM - the backbone of America's specialized warfighting capability. A legacy forged in precision and resilience, USSOCOM has defined what it means to operate at the tip of the spear.
Thank you to all who serve in the Special Operations community.
Warfighters need real-time visibility and actionable insights - in any environment, on any platform. That's what Operational Intelligence delivers.
This month, Shift5 will be at key events showcasing this capability. Stop by our booth at @SeaAirSpace and @ModernDayMarine + find us at AEEC | AMC for the commercial side of the house.

We’re honored to be named one of @FastCompany’s Most Innovative Companies of 2026 in Defense Tech, joining leaders like @Saronic, @anduriltech, and @ForterraDrive on the list.
Shift5 is rooted in the belief that warfighters need the systems they depend on to be protected and performing at mission tempo - and so do the critical assets that keep our economy moving.
Fast Company put our capabilities this way: “The platform’s versatility across all types of systems and domains—defense and commercial, rail, automotive, or industrial—has quietly set a new benchmark for onboard operational technology cybersecurity, and provided mechanics with the granular observability they need to keep fleets in shipshape.”
Thank you to our team for their commitment to bridging the gap. Interested in joining? Check out our open roles: https://t.co/kHRCZFsgcf

Shift5’s Toby Magsig joined fellow defense tech CEOs for roundtables with Members of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees.
The warfighter can’t wait. Industry can move fast - but only when policy and procurement keep pace. These conversations exist to close that gap.
As new technologies continue to mature and threats evolve, maintaining open dialogue between industry and the committees that shape defense policy is crucial.
Shift5 is proud to be at the table, pushing for the speed the warfighter needs.
ICYMI, Shift5 joined @anduriltech' Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) effort, supporting the US Army's 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson.
@tectonicdefense's @barratt_dewey covered the news, noting that for a program focused on integrating data, "having near real-time insights on the Army's vehicle health and telemetry is pretty important, and that's where Shift5 shines."
As our President and Interim CEO Toby Magsig told Tectonic, this effort is about exposing "the data pulsing through our nation's warfighting systems" - and getting it to the right hands, fast.
Our vehicle-agnostic platform collects, translates, and analyzes telemetry from onboard systems, feeding data through Anduril's Lattice Mesh so commanders have near real-time visibility into fleet readiness and sustainment - put to the test during Ivy Sting 4.
We're honored to be on the team supporting the Army and the 4th ID.

Shift5 is proud to partner with @anduriltech on the @USArmy's Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) effort.
At Shift5, we've always believed that operational data - and the insights derived from it - is the foundation for smarter, faster decisions on the battlefield. NGC2 puts that belief into practice.
Our Operational Intelligence platform collects and translates critical metrics from military platforms, turning raw operational data into actionable insights. Integrating into Anduril’s Lattice Mesh, this data flows to situational awareness platforms and logistics applications, enabling commanders to make informed decisions about sustainment, readiness, and mission execution in near real time.
An initiative of this scope requires rapid integration across partners. Anduril's engineering team and their commitment to speed made it possible to demonstrate live capability ahead of Ivy Sting 4. That kind of collaboration - moving fast without sacrificing quality - is what gives our warfighters the edge they need.
The real value of NGC2 is bridging the gap between platform health and decision-making, giving commanders the information they need to keep warfighters mission-ready.

Congratulations to Congress on passing the final FY26 Defense Appropriations Act, critical funding that ensures our military has the resources needed for a safer, stronger America.
This legislation prioritizes the capabilities our warfighters need: accelerating technologies that support peak readiness, modernizing mission-critical assets, and strengthening defense industrial base capacity.
We're grateful to the chairs, ranking members, members, and staff of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees for their leadership in advancing a bill that bolsters our national security and supports the men and women who serve.
Here's to FY27!
Shift5 welcomes Toby Magsig as president and interim CEO.
A former Army commander and L3Harris VP, Toby brings extensive experience in emerging technologies and enterprise-scale leadership to advance Shift5’s mission.
“The demand for Operational Intelligence across defense and transportation is accelerating, and Shift5 is uniquely positioned to meet it. I'm excited to join the Shift5 team to ensure we're delivering for operators and maintainers, at the pace and scale the mission requires.” - Toby Magsig
Co-founder Josh Lospinoso will remain involved as founder and board member, focused on long-term vision, major product initiatives, and key strategic engagements.
"What has always mattered most to me is solving real problems for operators and maintainers - problems where failure isn’t an option. This transition lets me stay focused on long-term vision and the hardest product challenges, while Toby brings the operational leadership we need to scale with rigor." - Josh Lospinoso

Sophisticated GPS spoofing attacks are on the rise, with adversaries falsifying navigation data to mislead critical onboard systems and disrupt operations. These deceptive attacks pose serious threats to both U.S. military missions and civilian passengers on commercial flights.
Shift5's new RF-Enabled Threat Detection delivers early warning indicators of GPS spoofing up to 200 nautical miles in advance - giving operators and pilots critical time to respond.

Venture capital accelerates the operational capabilities our warfighters and critical systems need. When investors back defense tech companies, they're directly enabling faster R&D cycles, scaling proven technologies, and expediting solutions deployed to those on the frontlines.
@VirginiaBiz recently covered @BoozAllen's decision to triple their venture capital commitment to early-stage defense tech. As a portfolio company, our own Ryan Sublett shared what this partnership means: "[Booz Allen] demonstrates as a really critical partner to not only our customer, the U.S. government, but to several commercial customers that have a mission-critical technology, and it validates our market opportunity."
That validation translates to real impact. Strategic investment has enabled us to deliver Operational Intelligence to aircraft, ground vehicles, ships, and beyond - keeping operational systems secure and mission-ready.

GPS spoofing is an active threat to defense and transportation fleets. This week, we launched RF-enabled threat detection, giving operators early warning of spoofing attempts up to 200 nautical miles away.
This builds on our serial bus monitoring to detect GPS threats at two critical points: at the moment systems are attacked and now up to 200 nautical miles before entering into a compromised region. Ronak Shah: "We're detecting spoofing attempts at the RF signal level while simultaneously monitoring how systems respond. That depth of coverage is needed when adversaries are constantly refining their techniques."
In contested environments, early warning makes the difference. Josh Lospinoso: "This capability gives operators the time and situational awareness to respond before navigation systems are compromised."
Plug-and-play across aircraft, ships, and ground vehicles. Available now.
