After Mario Kart 8's unprecedented success, its successor would have some big shoes to fill. Yet, Mario Kart World decides to forge its own path in lieu of following in 8's footsteps. For some, its new direction was off-putting. But for me, it rekindled a passion I haven't felt in years.

@yggdrasilsaltar I think its a double edged sword. On one hand, you had the warmth and passion of the community and on the other, you had articles and videos praying on Nintendo's downfall and begging them to go third party

@thickwonga413 The upscaling solution used makes every look muddy and oily. It can be diminished in TV Mode due to the bigger screen but its still there. Handheld mode is unplayable due to these issues. The only saving grace is 60fps
