Good question: why does @BobFergusonAG want to ban natural gas?
Is it just to get the support of radical environmentalists?
Or to help raise big dark-money campaign dollars from PSE's foreign owner?
Or to out-green outgoing @GovInslee?
Whatever the reason, #BobisWrong
HB 1589 will effectively ban natural gas for 800,000 Puget Sound consumers, costing the average homeowner $50,000 to electrify their homes, or they get no power.
Despite a huge public outcry from across the political spectrum against this intrusion, AG Bob Ferguson has still said nothing.
Dave Reichert has made it clear: "This must not stand!”

This seems like a new level of desperation – Emily Randall got the Conservation Voters endorsement recently, so now Franz says big polluters are coming after her?
The Conservation Voters are certainly propaganda polluters of the airwaves, so perhaps that’s what she means?
A very productive and collegial member lost due to a court order. Few members of either party have accomplished more in the Legislature for abused women, especially indigenous women.
Today @govinslee reiterated WA will build electric @wsferries calling those who think diesel-powered vessels can be built faster are "wrong." @BobFergusonAG and @reichert4gov both have diesel option in their plans to deploy new boats quickly to reduce cancelations. #waelex
But rooftop solar lets all your neighbors know that you're all environmental and stuff!
Solar installers will tell you that many people ask for the panels to be installed street-facing, even if it's less efficient, just so that everyone can see them.
Wasting $156 million is not environmentally friendly (even if it is good politics).
The National Renewable Energy Lab notes that W. WA is the worst place for solar in the U.S. @EIAgov says rooftop solar is the least efficient source of energy. This is just waste. #waleg
Inbox: Foes of Initiative 2117 formally launched their campaign today with website. They say they have $11M pledged/raised including money from @amazon and @bp_America. Will need to keep an eye on @Wa_PDC site to see how much they gave. #waelex https://t.co/ix7jSfwZUY
So...how many people do you have to inconvenience and how many flights must be canceled before you get charged with a felony instead of just a slap on the wrist?
NEW: The SeaTac City Attorney's Office has charged 46 people with misdemeanors following a pro-Palestinian protest that blocked traffic outside Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Monday. https://t.co/sgY7cPaXZx
Washington drivers are paying $1.23 more per gallon than the national average at the pump. Democrats will likely need to establish a Blue Ribbon commission to investigate why. 🤔
Currently, Washington drivers are paying an average of $4.67 a gallon for regular unleaded. That’s $1.23 a gallon higher than the national average.

Busy weekend! I spoke at the Washington Education Association assembly in Spokane, stopped in Tukwila with Commissioner Hamdi Mohamed & Teamsters Joint Council 28, met supporters in Sammamish, and even had time – as you might have seen yesterday – for softball with Katie.
$100K says that the final report will blame everything except for the real reasons: allowing homeless encampments on elementary school grounds, ending highly capable programs in the name of equity, pushing far-left ideologies, etc. 🤡🤡🤡
The district will use a state grant to understand what's behind the enrollment decline and come up with ways to attract families. https://t.co/Cr49uABVM5
Now that Bob is running for Governor he suddenly cares about people blocking roads. Where was the outrage when protesters took over blocks of Seattle with CHAZ/CHOP?
Unacceptable. Our roads and transportation facilities must be open for Washingtonians and emergency vehicles. Appreciate the response by law enforcement working to clear this important access to the airport.
Former WA Gov. Dan Evans, 98, was honored by the Northwest Power & Conservation Council, which develops plans for the Columbia River Basin’s energy & natural resources.

Washington’s next Governor can’t waste any time before going to work on our ferry system. I will immediately implement my plan to address everything from staffing needs to reliability of boats and facilities. We will turn around Washington’s failing ferry system.
The @BobFergusonAG way: create a new government bureaucracy to solve problems created by your own policies.
Maybe Bob could make @washdems donors inelegible for ferry contracts, since they've failed so miserably over the last decade, and we might get some boats this decade.
Inbox: @BobFergusonAG rolls out plan to 'fix' @wsferries. Wants ferries chief to be a cabinet post alongside @wsdot secretary. And he backs making next ferries diesel-powered if it gets them built faster. #waleg@climatesolution@JobsCleanEnergy#waelex https://t.co/d3Q5cr6q7b
Oh My God, the excitement of being able to ride a massively over-budget train run all the way from Redmond to Bellevue - and only 5 years after promised!
Liberals are thrilled.
Of course, it doesn't cross Lake Washington yet. Sound Transit is still working on that, maybe.
As we've noted repeatedly and contrary to popular rhetoric, honeybee populations have been increasing.
A new agricultural census confirms what we've been saying all along. Will this end the hysteria? Probably not. https://t.co/7r3SoRraCX #waleg
