If they weren’t on routine plays you could digest it but these are routine for the most part that a high school SS would make 9/10 times. He needs to go while there is still some value there. U can’t boot that ball and still be considered an elite player. His head hasn’t been in it and when he was hurt and saw that the Mets could still win without him he realized that outside of Cohen, there is no more protection for him.
