Why are the Shia looked at in derision by Sunnis and associated with innovations and shirk? We often blame the Salafi propaganda machine, and while that plays a significant role, we need to reflect on ourselves.
@thesymbols14 @HasanAlBeiruti If you're so worried about mass apostasy because I asked a basic question that Twelvers should have a ready-to-go great answer to, then answer it yourself. I'll assume you're not answering because you don't have an answer. If you don't respond with one, I'm done with this convo.
Can Twelvers explain the argument for restricting Hadith al-Thaqalayn to the 12 Imams? Why wouldn't the wording "itrati ahla bayti" include all Fatimids?
@thesymbols14 @HasanAlBeiruti I asked a basic question Imamis should have a good answer to and you're talking like there are waves of mass apostasy going on worldwide 💀
@thesymbols14 @HasanAlBeiruti I searched for an answer and got nothing but "the hadiths say so", so I came here. Why don't you answer it instead of criticising my Twitter habits?
@thesymbols14 @HasanAlBeiruti Well it's a good thing I'm not trying to cause doubt. I genuinely don't know how Imamis justify their interpretation. And if such a basic question causes such crushing doubt that someone ends up leaving Twelverism, then Twelverism has bigger problems than me.
@thesymbols14 @HasanAlBeiruti I love how full of yourselves you guys are that you think everyone questioning Twelverism is just a liar who "deep down" knows the truth and is rejecting it for fun.
Something as basic as "how is thaqalayn only about the 12" is a difficult question? Really?
@HasanAlBeiruti @thesymbols14 Shia pride ourselves on questioning others, being inquisitive, and not being so insecure that we forbid questioning of our beliefs. We always say we have nothing to be afraid of because our beliefs are so logical and evidence-based. But I'm seeing a lot of insecurity.
@HasanAlBeiruti @thesymbols14 It's very weird he insists I answer a question that I don't know the best Imami answer to. I know Imamis will say "because the hadiths say so", but I don't know if they have a better answer, so I asked. And the responses have been lackluster.
Imam Jafar narrates from his father Imam Muhammad al-Baqir:
Imam Ali was asked about the amulets (ta'wīdh) which are hung on young boys, so he said: Hang whatever you want if it contains the remembrance (dhikr) of Allah.

@FakeFulan @Healthcoachzzz The mainstream Twelver ruling is that it's not allowed to pray behind any non-Twelvers except if you have to out of taqiyya. And if you do pray behind them out of taqiyya, either you make the intention of a solitary prayer or else you redo your prayers.
