Corruption is not an issue anymore because everyone understands (and even respects) this basic human urge to hoard, to make more money. We even celebrate the top 15-20 billionaires of the nation as some sort of beacons of our culture and pride.
But what gets missed in this razzle-dazzle is that corruption is not just someone making extra money by bending rules - it also means those bent rules KILL people. In building fires, collapses, fake cancer medicines, adulterated foods, drunk driving, and a hundred other ways.
Corruption actually means someone making money by murdering people, murdering us.
Teach your kids to have skills which they can manage to work from home. The way India's city infrastructure is (not) improving, they may be better off in the future if they work from where they are.
Gurgaon: A great city in the making - being crushed by its administrators and politicians.
PM Modi’s biggest failure is the inability to reform India’s municipalities.
To me, it's not a big deal that Gurgaon drowned. That was bound to happen and given the way govts & authorities function, it will continue to only worsen. What is worst however is that there is not one single person in position of power who has the decency to apologise to the people of the so called millenium city. CM, Ministers, MLA, Mayor, Chief Secretary, some senior official, no one it seems. I know politics is insensitive but this is cruel. We have essentially reached a stage where even if, God forbid, a few people were to drown; there would not be a single word of acknowledgment or apology. Aap sab apna apna dekh lo, hum kisi ki jimmedari nahi le sakte.
#Gurgaon
We are living in a country where,
No one questions the leaders who are giving Jumlas every years
But we questions and hates the people who are fighting or raising the voices for basic needs like good Govt schools.
We should not even dream about competing with China in this life.
So @mybmc wants to spend Rs 702.4 cr on a 1.3 km underground passage linking Science Centre Metro to Worli promenade.
But look at their track record: CST, Sion, Khar, and WEH subways suffer from filth, waterlogging, poor lighting, and zero security. CST is just under their nose. Yet they are helpless.
Why fund massive new underground projects when existing subways are completely neglected?
Socio-political issues aside, purely from a sporting perspective, if you don't speak up for saving a football ground, stop discussing why India can't be a sporting nation! Hopefully the courts will step in with a writ having filed even before the authorities have approved decimation of the ground
Election after election, the same formula:
Announce freebies.
Take credit.
Win votes.
Send the bill to taxpayers.
Then increase taxes and tell citizens:
“Sacrifice today for a better tomorrow.”
We have heard this “tomorrow” for decades.
PSU banks can write off 35,000 Crores.
Now, don't start the write off vs waive off argument.
I say that because you don't even have the right to know who were the defaulters.
You are there just to pay taxes so that these write offs and waive offs can be compensated.
Just do you national duty.
Go to work tomorrow and earn for them.
@In_Sane_Saint@GabbbarSingh Very practical to call an ambulance or take the patient to hospital than waiting to contact a doctor at home or in their vicinity. Timely and prompt trip to a good hospital can be a life saver than waiting.
Dear Indian Infra bros,
These are tiny roads in West Cork in Ireland which gets 1200-2800 mm of rain every year.
They are all asphalt. No concrete roads. And hardly any potholes.
Stop glamorizing Fadnavis & Gadkari who are robbing you blind to enrich their buddies.
IMPORTANT: so Delhi High Court refuses Sonam Wangchuk’s wife plea to move him from govt hospital to Medanta. Will Centre now decide which hospital Sonam is taken to or should that decision be left to the family since Sonam is technically not under police detention? Will Police clarify his exact status or is the aim only to keep him in their supervision till tomorrow’s planned march?
Sir. I think maybe I speak for a small but valid percentage of India when I say couldn’t care less what the congress did anymore. Let it go. India moved on. They are not in power for their deeds. We did jokes about them for years, we booed them at the commonwealth games, they were a punch line on this platform for years, they got voted out. That’s life. These kids giving exams don’t even remember a congress govt. Questions can only be asked of those in power. That’s not being selective, it’s just called living in the present. No one dealing with a paper leak cares about BJP/Congress or Hindu/Muslim or any partisan bullshit. They’re worried about the future.
@VEDANTSHRIV17@atulmodani Why did this child get called a pakistani for the incompetence of CBSE?
Will those who caused the mental agony for this child apologise for calling him pakistani?
Look at what you've created @narendramodi , a country of rabid dogs. Shame on you.
I genuinely never imagined that a reputed hospital like Apollo Cradle Sector 82 Gurgaon could put senior citizens through such an exhausting, stressful, and negligent experience.
My mother was admitted today for a minor procedure. The procedure was completed by 4 PM, and the doctor cleared her discharge by 5 PM. What followed after that was absolute chaos, incompetence, and complete disregard for patient care.
The hospital administration failed to submit the insurance claim on time. When they finally did, they submitted it with the wrong amount and incorrect procedure code. After wasting hours, they resubmitted the bill again around 8 PM. Then, despite the claim already being pre-approved, @HDFCERGOGIC denied it due to the their staffs error—something even the insurance team acknowledged and asked them to resubmit.
Meanwhile, my elderly parents were left stranded in the hospital for hours with zero empathy, zero urgency, and no accountability from the admin staff.
By 10 PM, after over 5 hours of unnecessary delay, I told the team to stop the drama and simply process the payment on my card so we could leave. Shockingly, they then generated a completely different bill and inflated the charges even further.
Even AFTER payment was completed, they still kept us waiting another 45 minutes without providing the final bill or discharge summary.
And to make matters worse, during discharge, the staff negligently removed my mother’s drip needle improperly, causing her to start bleeding while walking toward reception. I have photographs documenting this negligence.
What should have been a smooth 1–2 hour discharge process turned into a humiliating 5+ hour ordeal for senior citizens who deserved care, compassion, and professionalism.
Hospitals are supposed to reduce stress during difficult times, not multiply it through incompetence, mismanagement, and complete insensitivity toward patients and families.
If you care about your loved ones, especially elderly parents, think twice before taking them to Apollo Cradle Sector 82 Gurgaon.
Today’s experience was not just disappointing but it was deeply disturbing.
