Why We Need the Server Browser and RSP Back in #Battlefield6
There's alot of new players to the franchise, and some confusion so please let me explain.
The community have been talking, and the same message keeps coming up,we miss having a real Server Browser and a proper Rental Server Program (RSP). Not because of nostalgia, but because these features were the heart of what made our #Battlefield experience feel alive, connected, and meaningful.
We don’t want these things back just for convenience. We want them back because they were the foundation of our community. A Server Browser is more than a menu it’s freedom.
It gave us a choice. It let us pick the maps, modes, and servers we loved instead of being thrown into a random rotation. It let us join friends instantly, find full lobbies, and avoid the modes we didn’t enjoy. It created a sense of ownership in how we played. The custom search feature in #Battlefield6 isn’t functioning as intended. Players are getting the same map over and over, which makes the experience frustrating and monotonous.
With a server browser, we weren’t just players matchmaking, we were part of a living, breathing community.
RSP is just as important, it was where communities were born. Clan servers, themed nights, hardcore servers, friendly no toxicity spaces, competitive events, all of that came from RSP. Server owners built environments where players knew each other. Admins kept the peace, kicked cheaters, and made sure games stayed fun. Special rules and custom rotations kept the game fresh
This wasn’t just content within the game. This was Battlefield culture.
Games thrive when communities have tools, not limits.
#Battlefield1 and #Battlefield4 are still alive because of community servers. They’ve outlived most modern matchmaking based shooters for a reason. When players have control, the game has a future. Right now, without a true server browser or RSP, we miss, the persistent servers we’d return to every night. The people we’d see again and again. The custom rules that made every server feel unique. The safe spaces where admins kept things fair.
This isn’t us being demanding. This is us remembering what made these games special and wanting that magic back.
We care because we love #Battlefield
We’re not asking for these features to complain. We’re asking for them because we want this game to grow, to last, to have a real identity and community the way the older titles still do.
A full Server Browser and RSP aren’t optional extras, they’re part of the soul of what made these games unforgettable. Give players the tools, and the community will take care of the rest.
Bring the Server Browser back. Bring RSP back. Bring the heart of the game back.
This post isn’t about blaming or attacking anyone. It comes from a place of passion and love for #Battlefield. Please keep things respectful, and avoid tagging individual developers, they care, and hopefully they see the message. Thank you for helping keep this conversation constructive and positive.
