Erfan Esfandiari is not the only person hanged for helping wounded protesters. Two more have been sentenced to death by the Islamic regime in Iran.

“Iran Human Rights (IHR NGO) reported that Mojtaba Dehbandi, 23, and Kianoush Hamzehei Kazerouni, 27, were handed death sentences by the Shiraz Revolutionary Court on charges of “moharebeh” (enmity against God) for setting fire to public places and burning the Quran, as well as acting against national security by harbouring protesters.

An informed source told Iran Human Rights that Dehbandi worked alongside his brother in the curtain shop business, while Hamzehei worked in the wholesale grocery trade. During the protests, they brought several injured protesters into their workplace to provide medical care.

The source added that security forces identified the two men using footage from shop surveillance cameras and arrested both at their homes eight days later.”

A historic concert by the forbidden voice of an Iranian woman took place inside Iran, a country where women are jailed simply for singing. Thousands of Iranians watched it live on YouTube, celebrating the bravery of this extraordinary woman.

Parastoo Ahmadi, who was once arrested during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” uprising and forced to erase the song “From the Blood of the Youth of the Homeland” from her page, defied the regime once again. This time, she stood without a hijab in a centuries-old caravanserai, singing her heart out and streaming the concert live on YouTube.

She wrote:
“I am Parastoo, a girl who cannot stay silent and refuses to stop singing for the people she loves. This is my right, one I will never surrender. I sing for this land I adore, for the soil of my homeland. Here, in this sacred corner of our beloved Iran, listen to my voice in this imagined concert, and dream of a free and beautiful nation.”

Her voice is a weapon against tyranny, her courage a song of defiance. Parastoo is everything the regime fears, a woman who cannot be silenced.

Zara Esmaeili, another brave young woman who dared to sing in public, is now behind bars. We hope for her freedom and for Iran to be liberated from the tyranny of the Islamic Republic, a regime that, for over 40 years, has banned women from singing and letting their hair flow freely.

I call on all international singers to stand in solidarity with Parastoo, Zara, and the courageous women of Iran who are defying oppressive, discriminatory laws. These brave female singers are risking their freedom and their lives to challenge a regime that has silenced women’s voices for over four decades. Let their courage inspire action, your support can amplify their fight for justice and freedom.

The government in Iran arrested her for filming the morality police and resisting the forced hijab. Her name is #SepidehRashnu 30-year-old writer and student. I personally feel for her strongly because the regime also paraded her on state television, forcing her to make a false confession against me. Why? Because the regime is furious not only with women who defy the hijab but also with those who use their cameras as their weapons to expose the brutality of the morality police. My role is just to amplify their courage by publishing their videos and echoing their voices to the world. Sepideh is the hero of millions of Iranians. Tomorrow, she will begin serving a 3 years and 11 months prison sentence. But this is her powerful response: she cut her hair and defiantly wrote to the regime, “These hairs are the tools of our crime as women. If you wish, you can also attach our bodies to the case you have fabricated against us.”
With the women of Iran calling on the international community to amplify our voices and condemn the gender apartheid regime in Iran, it is imperative that we take action. Statement to the International Community:

As an Iranian women’s rights activist, I warn the international community that Ali Khamenei is once again attempting to deceive the West by using his newly selected president to mislead, manipulate, and normalize its murderous regime. A gender of apartheid regime cannot be reformed.

The newly appointed President Masoud Pezeshkian is another puppet of the Supreme Leader, praising compulsory hijab enforcement and already warning the people that his redline is Ali and no one could criticize him. Some will portray him as a chance for the West to engage with Tehran to get back to the nuclear deal. Do not be deceived.

The West must adhere to its own principles and not legitimize the results of an unjust and unfair election.

The loudest voices from within Iran, including the parents of #MahsaAmini, who was killed at the hands of the morality police, the family members of those murdered by this regime, Nobel laureates, and numerous political prisoners, have boycotted this sham selection. For over 40 years, the Islamic Republic has executed, tortured, and oppressed the people of Iran, regardless of whether so-called reformist or conservative presidents were in power. Our basic desire for a normal life has been met with brutality and repression.

The Iranian people have once again delivered a resounding rejection of Ali Khamenei and the Islamic Republic’s so-called election. The voter turnout is much lower than the regime claims.

Western powers should recognize that any attempt to appease this new lackey will be seen as a betrayal of our ongoing movement for liberation and a disgraceful abandonment of moral leadership.

We will persist in our path to have a smooth transition from a religious dictatorship to a secular democracy in Iran, and we will triumph.

Nasim’s life is in imminent danger. Be her voice.

Nasim and 6 Hamidreza Sahlabadi was arrested over a year ago following the uprising after the killing of Mahsa Amini in the hand of morality police in Iran. From the moment of her arrest, she was placed in solitary confinement and subjected to intense interrogation. She has been held illegally for hundreds of days without any formal explanation.
Nasim and Hamidreza are at risk of losing their lives for the crime of peacefully protesting.
