YYYY-MM-DD is the only correct date format.
* It's an ISO standard: https://t.co/n3wKGrNuMH
* It's unambiguous (is 03/05/22 March 5 or May 3? No such problem here!)
* General-purpose sorting sorts dates correctly
* East Asian countries like Japan 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵 use it ("2022年5月3日")

@rmkubinec@cindy_cheng_ To be clear, I've made violin plots in tableau. There are people out there who have done every imaginable plot in that program.
@rmkubinec@cindy_cheng_ Not so hot take: this is a bad idea. With a decent pipeline, you could send the info to tableau, or sent the raw data and let the tool do it's job. This seems like a have hammer...
@andrewheiss Probably going to get bothered again as @DeMattee and I just put you on as a proposed discussant for our next paper. Vector Autoregressions FTW!
While I did not invent a new law of thermodynamics during the pandemic, I did come to firm conclusions about why Tangled is superior to Frozen based on *social-scientific analysis* after overhearing the movies many, many times. MY REPORT: 🧵(1/)
@goodsadiecarter @andykort Nobody can tell if my face is common or not because of the sheer magnitude and gravitational pull of my head... think Interstellar-levels of distortion. @RationalLuke can testify.
