@Prospero_Esq I am perhaps not
the best among us.
Yes, I till the earth
and labour for its bounty.
But if there be one
truth about me,
it is this:
I unashamedly serve
as a minister
in the temple of justice.
Not a poet too. But here goes.
@ihateuletsdie@EnjoyerComeback I assure you, as someone who is extremely darkskinned. The colorism is horrible. People either think I am poor, or terrible. And neither is the case.
Compliments are there though.
@iyanam_ There are still plays being written. But few people read them, so few booksellers sell them.
I found a few in a small-oldish bookstore last year in Jos.
@unfreemason_@AAProm042@thisibi Unfortunately, a Gerawa man and a Kanuri man may have different religions and one may not even know how to speak Hausa.
This is another common misconception that is perpetrated. Most of the minority tribes in northern states are not Muslims. They are Christians.
@saltypip@AAProm042@thisibi Actually, I am in a Fed Uni in Jos and the number of Easterners/Westerners who tell me that I am Hausa and don't understand that we have other tribes is shocking.
