That time in 1803 when a weird flying saucer shaped "Boat" made of metal and glass was drifting off the shores of the Hitachi Province in Japan...

The locals dragged it onto the shore and then things got even weirder...

Inside was a young woman, 18–20 years old. She looked foreign, very pale/pinkish skin with unusual clothing.

Nobody could understand her language, and she apparently couldn’t understand Japanese.

She carried a rectangular box, roughly 60 cm long, which she kept extremely close to herself and refused to allow anyone to touch.

The vessel reportedly contained food, water, bedding/carpets made from unfamiliar materials, and strange writing or symbols that the witnesses couldn’t identify.

The villagers apparently had no idea what to do with her and so they ended up putting her back in the strange boat and pushed her out to sea...

The Hollow Ship, 1803

In 1803, according to an extraordinary Japanese tale, fishermen on the coast of Hitachi Province discovered a strange vessel drifting in from the sea.

It was unlike any boat they knew. A round, hollow craft reinforced with dark metal, fitted with glass windows, and marked inside with unfamiliar symbols.

Within it was a mysterious young woman. She appeared foreign, spoke a language no one understood, and carried a small wooden box that she guarded closely, refusing to let anyone touch it.

The villagers examined the strange writing and tried to communicate with her, but neither side could understand the other.

Unable to determine who she was, where she had come from, or what the vessel was, the fishermen eventually returned the woman and her hollow ship to the sea.
