@QuinnyPig @awscloud Ah, TIL SCPs don't affect service-linked roles... https://t.co/bMb6XQqTao

[301 Location: https://awscommunity.social/@s0enke @s0enke]

@QuinnyPig @awscloud AFAIK one could override the "allow" with an explicit deny (resource policy), or by deleting the role, or by SCPs. But I don't think average AWS users do this (since they trust AWS not to mess around)

[Corey Quinn @QuinnyPig]

Just to be clear here, this means that for a time @awscloud support was able to read all of your S3 data. There is no mitigation; this role is mandatory.

If you had CloudTrail data events enabled, you can audit. If you didn’t, it may be time to declare a security incident.

Another #Vi customer showing support.

I've been charged for 2 services - SONGS and Playzone with no input, prompt or consent from my end, for the past 6 months 🤦

[Anoop Sankar @anoopsankar]

. @ViCustomerCare - this is appalling. You're charging me without consent. I had already escalated with your team over call a month back. Can you fix it or should I look for another recourse now? And no, I did not click on a link or download a ringtone for the 1000th time!

@mattn_jp @github @sindresorhus @mueslix @fregante yes, the attached screenshot proves it.

[shine @shine__nelson]

I came across the #GitHubStars program from @mattn_jp's profile. I was kind of looking forward to something like this from @github but kind of missed the update.

Here are my #awesome nominations : @sindresorhus, @mueslix and @fregante. I am sure all of them will be inducted! 👏

I found this tweet from a blog post by the same author.
And I was taken aback by the dedication that @brendangregg showed to find the original change 👏

The post itself was an insightful learning that took me down into the world of system load averages 🙏

I emailed a Linux kernel dev about a 3 line change they made almost 24 years ago (Oct 1993), and got a detailed reply in 1 hr.

LinkedIn is copying the contents of my clipboard every keystroke. IOS 14 allows users to see each paste notification.

I’m on an IPad Pro and it’s copying from the clipboard of my MacBook Pro.

Tik tok just got called out for this exact reason.

This is what being 'nationalistic' means these days. Being 'nationalistic' necessitates that you become part of a herd which never questions, and blindly accepts anything that they're fed. Any departure from this goes into the realm of 'anti-nationalism'.

@DuckDuckGo what about unsubscribe on the phone? I want to unsubscribe from marketing SMSes as well.

@YouTube I thought the nocookie in the domain meant that the website wouldn't put any cookies in my browser.

oh, wait, this is @Google we're talking about - there's no google-owned domain that you can hit without getting tracking cookies embedded into your browser 🤦‍

Why should Indians be concerned about a problem in America? It is because what is racism in America is classism, casteism, and religion in India. And we have to learn from what is happening there.

Could a rollable phone eliminate the crease issue? TCL has actually made a rollable, scrollable phone prototype 🌀

@WordPress why are the most important links (showcase, themes, plugins, support) on the website redirecting (and that too #HTTP301) back to the homepage?

Did you decide that you don't want to #showcase #themes and #plugins or provide #support anymore? #WordPress #Fail

Very smart @apple. Good game 👏
