Over the weekend, Kevin was at work with his owner and accidentally found himself in the back of a customer's truck. The customer drove home, and when Kevin was nowhere to be found, his owner found some nearby officers and asked for help tracking down the customer. We’ll admit, our officers didn’t have high hopes, but they still followed up, and lo and behold, Kevin was waiting to be rescued.

Incredibly proud to share that I reported on-air in Spanish for the first time ever during Super Tuesday coverage with @telemundo39.

Reporting in another language on Election Day, the most difficult assignment in TV news, was the culmination of years of work behind the scenes. It began when I was still working in El Paso, where I constantly regretted that I couldn't speak Spanish and was missing out on the opportunity to fully connect with the majority-Hispanic community I covered there.

It wasn't perfect, but Tuesday was a huge milestone for me personally and professionally, and for the rest of my career I hope to keep building bridges to the communities we serve as journalists.

How did an elderly Dallas woman end up in a small town in Mexico 10 hours away from home, with no knowledge of how she got there?

Enola Harris was found driving the wrong way in Muzquiz, Coahuila on Saturday night, 2 days after leaving her home in Dallas. She told the town’s mayor she didn’t know what country she was in.

Not knowing what else to do, the mayor called on social media to help find Harris’s family - and it worked, with the mayor driving Harris back across the border today to reunite her with family.

We lost a beloved officer in the line of duty overnight.
He was backing up another officer on a DWI investigation when he was hit by a passing driver. That driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Our officer was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. 1/2
