A feature I had been working on for months (pretty much since I started) got merged into production today, and I’m feeling so proud 🥺😭. It’s the little things yalls
I’ve been working as a SWE for about 7 months, but I still get imposter syndrome when I say that I’m a SWE. But then I look back at all the features and projects I’ve built in just these 7 months, and then I’m like DAS RIGHT IM A SWE😂🔥 #emotionalrollercoaster#impostersyndrome
@selftaughtstph @angelica_shiau Thanks Stephanie!! :)
Hi Angelica!! Like Stephanie said, I also transitioned from teacher to SWE this past year, and it's really been the best decision I could have made for myself. Always happy to connect with fellow educators ☺️❤️

@onwardLyn I still feel slight imposter syndrome when I say that I’m a software engineer 😭 BUT trying to break out of that!!! Also hi Lyn 🥰 I love seeing you thrive!!!!!! 🔥
@timo__tech Bahaha I always thought I’d be active on Twitter after getting my first dev job, but it’s been hard to stay consistent 😅. Mostly just read the tweets nowadays 🙃
@onwardLyn That makes me sad and mad 😡— they obviously don’t know the tiniest fraction of the work you put in to get where you are today. Still so proud and inspired by you!! ❤️
A core skill in programming comes into play when you're first given a project or task...
You need to be comfortable not knowing how to complete it, while also having the confidence to know you will work it out.
@mia__bala Would also love to hear people’s responses! As a software engineer working in a data team, I often find myself being pulled into projects involving a lot of data, so curious about other people’s experience!
@planet_katie I had this same question for years, and your tweet prompted me to finally ask my hair stylist 😂. She confirmed that it’s okay to wet hair, just no shampoo. Dry shampoo is ok!

I just told my 3rd grader about the shooting. She replied:
"Yeah. We had a lockdown drill today. There aren't very many hiding places in our room. The good ones all get taken in like 3 seconds."
Then she left.
@codingmilf I took the bootcamp route, but I highly recommend reaching out to @selftaughtstph . She’s a also a self taught iOS dev that now works at PayPal + a career coach! Rooting for you, Via!!
