Through struggle and discipline, persistence and faith, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. helped move this country forward. As we honor his legacy today, let’s remember the lesson he taught us: that even in the face of impossible odds, people who love this country can help change it. In honor of #MLKDay, I hope you’ll do what you can in your community to create a better future for us all.
In 2008 Australian Prime Minister K Rudd apologised for the forced removal of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children from their families. I had the privilege of doing a walking tour of central Brisbane / Meeanjin with Mundanara from BlackCard Cultural Tours (whose mother and grandmother were part of the Stolen Generation). We visited important historical sites around the city. I learnt so much 🖤💛❤️ @FIFAWWC #WrightysDiary #FIFAWWC
.@MarcusRashford is way ahead of where I was at 23—and not just because he’s a better athlete. It was great talking with him about everything from our shared love of reading to how we can lift up the next generation of leaders.

Aretha helped define the American experience. In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it and in every shade—our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect. May the Queen of Soul rest in eternal peace.
I don't think any of us should take this wonderful country for granted. We have to defend, every moment, the multicultural, inclusive society that we have built, each one of us through our contribution to this nation.
Utterly choked, but this young side gave absolutely everything. It’s a huge step forward and they’ll only get better in the future. They can hold their heads high, they did our country proud. Congratulations to Croatia.
