this is my first time in my life giving a wedding speech, so after bomi asked me to do it, i thought a lot about what kind of congratulatory words i should say.

our park chorong still has a long way to go, so let’s try again.

although i am standing here alone today, i would like to offer my congratulations to the two of you on behalf of our members, who have been together for the past 15 years.

to be honest, as i was writing this, i wasn’t very good at controlling the length, so it became a little long. but i will try to deliver each and every word with sincerity.

we used to ask each other, “who do you think will get married first?” and “who do you think we’ll marry?” so it still doesn’t quite feel real that the day has come for me to give a wedding speech like this.

when i first saw bomi trying on her wedding dress, so many indescribable emotions came over me.

i met bomi when she was 18 years old, still wearing a school uniform. over the past 15 years, like close friends, we have gone through so many things together and shared countless emotions.

we spent so many days crying and laughing while chasing the same dream. and now, seeing bomi become a proper adult and start a new family with the person she truly loves feels so amazing. at the same time, what stood out to me first was how brave bomi’s choice was.

since she was young, bomi has always made the people around her happy with her bright energy. so now, i hope bomi can live while focusing a little more on her own life and her own happiness.

for 15 years, bomi has always done her very best for our team. so i sincerely congratulate and bless her as another kind of happiness has found its way to her.

now that bomi has gained another eternal person on her side, apart from us members, i hope she lives happier and more joyfully than anyone else.

our bomi, who has now become my senior in life — from now on, i’ll learn even more from you by your side.

and when bomi is having a hard time, or when she should be happy, please always stay beside her reliably.

to be honest, when i first heard that the two of you were seeing each other, i think i was honestly more worried at first. but after watching you closely over the years, i came to realise that you are truly a good person whom all of us can feel assured about. i think bomi was also able to grow into an even more beautiful woman because of that.

oppa, just as you have done until now, and just as you confidently said, i hope you will never let go of bomi’s hand, and that no matter what path you walk, the two of you will walk it slowly and well together.

watching the two of you, i often felt, “so this is what a healthy relationship looks like.”

now, even without doing anything special, you have become people who quietly stay by each other’s side, giving each other stability and peace.

because i know that this kind of trust is not something that can be built easily, i respected your relationship even more.
