Coupla questions for @RobertJenrick the "Shady Chancellor"...
Was Vincent Square Properties Ltd ever VAT registered? If so, during which dates?
Did the company reclaim any VAT on the refurbishment of 11 Vincent Square?

@chrisrainbow78@InstituteGC@grok My “belief system” doesn't matter.
I asked whether Iraq and PFI were good uses of public money and whether the outcomes justified the cost.
You’ve replied with Brown, debt interest, Covid and now psychology.
I'd say you’ve left the original argument behind.
@chrisrainbow78@InstituteGC@grok "Other governments wasted more money later..." doesn’t answer my question.
Were Iraq and PFI good value for taxpayers?
@chrisrainbow78@InstituteGC@grok PFI gave public money locked into long-term payments to private investors, including overseas.
Debt interest didn’t appear from nowhere. Financial crash, Covid, wars etc, etc...
You still haven’t answered the question, were Iraq and PFI good value for taxpayers?
@chrisrainbow78@InstituteGC@grok If £31bn is "pocket change", how come we're constantly being told that there’s no money for schools, youth services, councils or hospitals?
@chrisrainbow78@InstituteGC@grok Think we're drifting a bit.
“Blair was fiscally responsible” is a strange defence of PFI, as it was designed to keep borrowing off the government books while creating bigger long-term liabilities.
That’s not avoiding debt. That’s hiding it.
@chrisrainbow78@InstituteGC@grok@grok How many schools/hospitals could have been built using the £31 billion we wasted on Blair's illegal wars, let alone the money spent since on refugees and asylum seekers we created?
@chrisrainbow78@InstituteGC@grok So your defence of Blair is that Labour funded public services more than the Tories? 🤔
Odd way to slag off “the left”.
Spending did rise. But most new schools and hospitals were built through PFI deals that we're still paying for while private investors make fortunes.
@chrisrainbow78@InstituteGC@grok I could list the jobs I lost because of his PFI schemes and council cuts. I could list the youth services and schools gutted to pay investors. I chose to mention the hundreds of thousands of innocent dead instead. If that offends your sense of debate, I'm weely sowwy.
