I’m pretty sure the opposing narratives they’re referring to here is just differing opinions on whether expelling 750k people forcefully from their homes was justified and good, and there’s a correct answer to that.

Tbh the narratives aren’t that opposing. “750,000 people were cleansed from the land” and “our newly solidified demographic majority has declared an independent nation on this land” are two sides of the same story. Israeli independence couldn’t happen w/o the Nakba.
