#PrincessCruises today revealed the new Sun Princess, which will debut in early 2024. Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard, the 175,500-ton vessel is the largest Princess ship ever constructed, with a capacity of 4,300-guest.

The next #DisneyCruiseLine ship will be named Disney Treasure. Following the Disney Wish, the newbuild is set to enter service in 2024. The sixth cruise ship in the company’s fleet, the Treasure will feature a new design concept inspired by the theme of adventure.

Fincantieri has confirmed it will build more ships for #VikingOceanCruises as the cruise line has entered into an agreement for the vessels based on an option contract from May 2018. Deliveries are scheduled respectively in 2026, 2027 and two in 2028.

#CunardLine laid the keel for its new ship, the 3000-passenger Queen Anne, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Venice today. Captain Inger Klein Thorhauge first welded the ceremonial coin into the keel before a massive crane hauled the centerpiece of Queen Anne.

#CostaCruises has cancelled winter programs on two ships that were slated to cruise in Europe. All the cruises of Costa Venezia from Dec. 1 to mid April 2023 have been cancelled. Costa Diadema will wrap up her schedule on November 22 in the Mediterranean and will back on April 7.

Transitioning from sister line Costa, the Luminosa has officially joined the #CarnivalCruiseLine fleet today as the newest Fun Ship. In Palermo, Italy, this morning, Costa Captain Nicolantonio Palombella handed over the ship to Carnival Captain Adriano Binacchi.

It’s official: the former Horizon is being scrapped in Aliaga, Turkey. After two years languishing in Greece, the 1990-vessel departed the Elefsis Bay bound for the scrap yard last week. The ship will now be dismantled at the Turkish recycling facility.
